The Philadelphia, PA pop-rock/ indie-rock quintet CASSETTES is a new band near and dear to my heart. The band's overall theme is a love letter to the FM Radio era. A time when any song could be the single, had a guitar solo and talent preceded glitz and glam, recalling pop radio of the 70s, 80s and 90s while casually blending today's modern rock into the mix.

The band recently released their debut LP WILD HEARTS, a pop-rock album combining the right mix of old and new while most definitely keeping up with the times and throwing their own nostalgic twist on things. Wild Heart was recorded with Ace Enders (The Early November) & Nik Bruzzese (Man Overboard) and mixed by Vince Ratti (The Wonder Years, Real Friends, The Starting Line). Between the band's style of writing and the team behind the album, this is a solid pop-punk record.

Their latest single BORN IN THE 90's is nostalgic, poppy and fun for anyone who was, well, born in the 90s. The tune makes clever nods to the 80's and 90's era from lyrical references to musical innuendo such as the Van Halen's Panama nod around 1 minute into the song.
