Pop-punk trio Goalkeeper are a band near and dear to my heart. Hailing from Philly/NJ area and myself being from Pittsburgh, I've personally watched these guys shred on a number of occasions, ping ponging back and forth across PA, most notably the 4th annual Four Chord Music Festival. opening up for the likes of The Starting Line, State Champs and A Dangerous Summer.
The guys recently dropped their latest EP BAD TIMES DON'T LAST produced by Kevin Mahoney (Hit The Lights) and Rick King of King Sound Studio (Hit The Lights, Forever Came Calling) this past November.
Bad Times is a total throwback to pop-punk from the new millennium days while also not being dated. Goalkeeper is a great balance of old meets new pop-punk using their influences as references rather than coping them and making the entire thing something all their own. The guy's second single SUNSHINE from Bad Times is a great example of this.
