LINKIN PARK Launches a 100 Hour Countdown Timer On Their Website

Since earlier this year, there’s been heavy speculation that Linkin Park would reunite for the first time since the tragic passing of lead singer/frontman Chester Bennington in 2017.

More rumors circulated in May of this year with BILLBOARD MAGAZINE reporting that the band was considering a reunion with a female vocalist in 2025 , which also fueled other rumors such as the likes of Amy Lee of alternative rock band Evanescence being in the forefront as the pick to lead the band as well as Bonnie Frasier of Stand Atlantic as well as male lead fronted vocalist Deryck Whibley of Sum 41.

This past Saturday, 8/24/24, Linkin Park has launched a 100 hour countdown timer on their website and YouTube channel which is currently live, which would be set to end on August 28th at 11am PST, 2pm EST with the WELCOME TO ROCKVILLE Festival also sharing the timer on their social media story feeds, which all but confirms Linkin Park’s appearance. If the band was to return, it’s almost certain that they would also appear at other Danny Wimmer festivals which include the likes of Inkcarceration, Aftershock and Sonic Temple Fest.

We’re all just going to have to wait for the countdown to end this Wednesday 8/28/24 to all see for ourselves. Until then check out a track the band dropped last year called LOST, which was of a session during the METEORA recording sessions back in 2003.
