LINKIN PARK Drops Unreleased Meteora-Era Song "LOST"
It has been over half a decade since the tragic passing of LINKIN PARK lead singer/frontman Chester Bennington who sadly took his own life on July 20th, 2017. Since Bennington's passing the band has been on an indefinite hiatus with no official word as to if or when they plan to continue on as a band.
And now, just weeks before Meteora, Linkin Park's 2nd full-length studio album is set to celebrate its 20th anniversary, which was dropped on March 25th, 2003, fans have been treated with cryptic messages the last few weeks leading up to the announcement of this new song entitled "LOST" which was recorded during the Meteora album and is an unreleased track.
LP had previously shared a countdown on their website and social media platforms which expired on February 1st, 2023 when it was replaced by a puzzle where fans could look and share clues of what's to come. Leading up to the cryptic puzzle, fans assumed a re-release of Meteora to be in store but were treated with this new song LOST.
There is still no indication as to if the band plans to reunite after this but as a fan myself, I can say that we are all glad to hear them again, especially Chester's voice in this new track.
