Mötley Crüe, Def Leppard, Poison Tour Dates
A new video was uploaded on Monday, November 18th, 2019 to the Motley Crue YouTube channel, which is narrated by Crue's close friend Machine Gun Kelly who portrayed drummer Tommy Lee in the 2018 Netflix documentary THE DIRT about the band.
The video depicts the band destroying a contract they signed at the end of their fair well tour stating that they'd never be allowed to tour together unless all four members of the band agreed.
The video narrates: "In 2014 Motley Crue announced their final tour, putting an end to almost 35 years on the road. To make it official, they signed an unprecedented contract. In the years since, Motley Crue became more popular than ever and gained an entirely new legion of fans who along with die hard "Crue-heads" demanded that the band tear up that stupid contract and come out of retirement. They knew that if they were to ever stand on stage together again, that contract would have to be destroyed. Well, destruction has never been an issue for Motley Crue."
Within hours the hashtag #MotleyCrueIsBack began trending along with news of a full-fledged stadium tour with none other than hair metal 80's icons Def Lepparad and Poison. These bands are no strangers to each other with Def Leppard touring with Poison in 2017, which marked the first outing by the Bret Michaels-led band since 2012. In 2011, Poison toured with Mötley Crüe and the New York Dolls which was the first time the two biggest bands of the hair metal era hit the road together. Fun fact, unlike nearly every other act from the 80's hair metal scene, both bands still have all of their original members.
The bands made an official announcement earlier this week on SiriusXM's Volume channel by Slim Jim Phantom of the Stray Cats featuring all of the band members from all of the bands minus Joan Jett and the Heartbreakers who will also be joining these 80's hair metal giants on the road. The bands officially dubbed the tour "The Stadium Tour 2020" and you can check out all of the tour dates below!
